The 2026 Door County Baseball League season will open with shortages in the umpire pool again.  Umpire-in-Chief for the DCBL, Roger Van Lanen, urges anyone interested in becoming a baseball umpire to document their experience or seek certification through the WIAA or to be considered.  Candidates will take the WIAA test and be required to have a background check.
