April 26 marks a big milestone, fm 106.9 the Lodge is turning 18! For nearly two decades, we’ve been part of the rhythm of Door County, bringing you the soundtrack to scenic drives, waterfront sunsets, busy workdays, weekend adventures, and everything in between. Through every season, we’ve shared the moments that make this place unforgettable, from cherry blossoms in spring and sun-soaked summer afternoons to brilliant fall colors and snowy winter mornings. Whether you’re a lifelong local, a weekend visitor, or simply someone who loves the county spirit, we’re honored to be part of your day.
What started 18 years ago as a passion for great music and community connection has grown into something truly special because of listeners like you. Free Trees and Earth Day Fun
At the Lodge, we believe strong communities are built on strong roots. That’s why we’re proud to support replanting efforts in Door County through the Door County Big Plant alongside our partners at the Climate Change Coalition.
On May 1, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, the Lodge invites you to stop by our Ephraim Studio for a free tree pickup. It’s a simple way to bring a bit of green home and celebrate the season together, while supplies last.
Celebrate Earth Day the Door County way with a weekend full of nature, learning, and community fun.
At Kress Pavilion, the celebration begins on Saturday, April 25 with Kids Earth Care Day. This free, family friendly morning runs from 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM and is filled with hands on activities, kids art stations, an artisan pottery leaf hunt, a pollinator plant sale, food from Greens N Grains, and a community marketplace where Earth care organizations share ideas and inspiration. Throughout the day, guests can also enjoy eco art stations, Big Plant pre order pickup, and creative activities like making seed bombs and designing pollinator garden signs.
The weekend continues on Sunday, April 26 with The Healing Power of Plants, an afternoon dedicated to herbs, flowers, mushrooms, and native trees. From noon to 5:00 PM, guests can explore educational booths, enjoy food by Greens N Grains, shop the pollinator plant sale, and pick up free trees while supplies last. The day features a full lineup of workshops focused on backyard medicinal plants, native forest trees, plant and fungi wellness, fermentation, mushroom cultivation, edible wild plants, and living in harmony with nature.It’s a weekend that brings people, plants, and the spirit of Door County together.
National Travel and Tourism Week is May 3-9!
National Travel and Tourism Week is the U.S. travel industry’s annual tradition of recognizing the essential role travel plays in powering our economy, strengthening communities and connecting America. Door County truly celebrates and embraces the benefits of tourism to all residents as well as it’s challenges. We’ll be sharing the details on the success from 2025 and outlook for 2026.
