Rural Transit Day, which is celebrated annually on July 16th, honors the passengers, agencies, and frontline staff who rely on and operate essential public transportation in remote communities. Door County’s Transportation Manager, Pam Busch, announced that “Door County Connect and Door 2 Door Rides will offer FREE rides on Thursday, July 16th to thank all of our riders.” To schedule your free ride, please call Door County Connect at (920) 746-6944 or Door 2 Door Rides at (920) 746-6948. If possible, please schedule in advance, both services are first come first serve. When riding, be sure to let your driver know how important they are!
