fm 106.9 the Lodge Cherry Drop – New Year's Eve in Sturgeon Bay
Ring in 2026 as the fm 106.9 The Lodge Cherry Drop™ celebrates its 10th anniversary in a brand-new location in Sturgeon Bay. After nine successful years in Sister Bay, this beloved New Year’s Eve tradition will move to Door Community Foundation Square, located at the corner of Third Avenue and Kentucky Street, next to the historic Olde Bell Tower. At the heart of the celebration is the giant six-foot, 300-pound illuminated cherry, which will once again be suspended high above the square before making its dramatic descent at midnight to welcome the New Year.
Join us as we celebrate a milestone year for the Cherry Drop™ and continue this festive Door County tradition in an exciting new setting. Additional details, including event programming and timing, will be announced closer to New Year’s Eve.
